Current US Building CodesA benchmark has recently been achieved in the US in which the patchwork of building codes that previously have existed in the US are gradually being replaced by a more uniform set of codes that are nationally recognized. See the article from ICC announcing that 50 states have adopted the ICC set of codes. The ICC codes adopt many standards by reference and the ASCE A7 minimum design standard is one of them for wind.
