Wind Power![]() Although the primary focus of AAWE is directed toward generating and disseminating knowledge regarding wind and associated water effects on constructed and natural facilities and working toward mitigating the damage resulting from these wind events, there is obviously some overlap with the efforts that are underway around the world in utilizing the wind as a source of power generation. Clearly there are common interests in the areas of wind characterization, wind structure interaction and the fluid mechanics of turbulent flows. Because of possible common interests, some links are provided below to organizations and sites that are active in the area of wind power generation.
